Our mission

Turning casual gaming into structured achievement

DAIGON is a UK company providing esports and gaming services to international schools around the world. We build the programs, platform, and competitions that turn casual gaming into structured achievement — developing the 21st century skills every student needs, reported back to schools every term.

Founded by EdTech experts and gaming enthusiasts, DAIGON exists because we believe every school deserves access to world-class competitive programming — and every student deserves a team that plays to their strengths. Today, we power competitions across 100+ schools and 40+ countries, culminating in our flagship DAIGON World Championships — bringing together international school students from across the globe to compete at the highest level.

The team

The people behind the platform

Elliot Mack
Co-Founder & CEO

Elliot Mack

Elliot Mack is the co-founder and CEO of DAIGON. Having grown up in Brussels and Istanbul to French and American parents and having attended Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in DC pursuing regional and comparative studies, Elliot's international background and passion for cross-cultural exchange transpire in his vision for DAIGON to connect international schools through structured and educational amateur esports. Having always used gaming as a tool to stay connected to friends despite geographical distance, Elliot intimately understands the power of gaming in community-building across borders.

Younes Alakhir
Co-Founder & COO

Younes Alakhir

Younes Alakhir is the co-founder and COO of DAIGON. With his older brothers being avid gamers, it goes without saying that gaming was one of his passions. Over the years, he came to believe that the amateur esports community sorely needed what he witnessed in the amateur sports community. Through college where he majored in Finance and Health Economics, Younes wanted to get as many skills and experience as possible outside the classroom — building startups, working as a sales rep, and as a data scientist in a top life science company.

David Higginson
Co-Founder & CRO

David Higginson

David joined DAIGON in late 2022 as Sales and Relationships Director. Prior to joining, he was Co-Founder and Sales Director of SchoolsBuddy and latterly Faria Education. During his tenure at SchoolsBuddy, he developed and refined the sales process from scratch and was responsible for growth from zero to over $1m ARR.

What drives us

Four things we believe

Structured competition

We believe in the power of healthy competition to motivate, challenge, and build resilience in students.

Belonging

Esports creates communities. We give every type of student — including those who don't fit traditional sports — a team to call their own.

Real-world skills

Every match and session is a chance to develop the durable skills employers are looking for: teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.

Global reach

100+ schools, 40+ countries, and growing. We connect students across borders through competition — 95% of cross-school friendships formed through DAIGON are maintained after tournaments end.
