Indpendent Schools Association (ISA) Esports competition 24-25

ISA National Esports Final II 

What an absolute thrill it was for DAIGON Esports to partner with the Independent Schools Association (ISA) and the Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill (LIL) to host the recent ISA Esports Finals! Witnessing the incredible talent and sportsmanship of these young gamers was truly inspiring. The atmosphere at LIL was electric, with nail-biting matches and unforgettable moments throughout the day.




Event Recap

23 schools, 41 teams, more than 75 matches and over 170 students who participated - more than triple Year One, so thank you, thank you, thank you.


The online qualifiers were played before the Christmas holidays and from our experience were a very exciting weekly event for all involved. We hope you and your students felt the same.

16 teams qualified for finals day which saw more than 64 students arrive at Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill (LIL) on a chilly, wet February day. For a detailed review please see the attached.


In Minecraft congratulations to St Christopher's Prep School-MC1 were crowned champions (winning £250 in Amazon vouchers), defeating Littlegarth School's Blue Dragons (winning £100 in Amazon vouchers) in the final. Scarisbrick Hall School-MC2 finished 3rd, followed by Scarisbrick Hall School-MC1 in 4th. All 4 teams have qualified for the World Championships in Malta in October.


In Rocket League Bridgewater School-RL2 were crowned champions (winning £250 in Amazon vouchers), defeating Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill-RL1 (winning £100 in Amazon vouchers) in a thrilling final. Bridgewater School-RL1 took 3rd place, followed by Abbey College Cambridge-RL1 in 4th. 



We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both ISA and LIL for their vision in embracing esports and for their amazing efforts in hosting such a thrilling event and final. Cédric and Max and your colleagues and students were very welcoming. Thank you also to Helen, Emily and Neave from ISA for their invaluable help and support throughout. 


To the schools and school leaders, thank you for embracing esports and recognizing its value in developing teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills in your students. Your support and encouragement have been instrumental in fostering a thriving esports community within the ISA.


To the teachers, thank you for your tireless efforts in supporting and mentoring your teams. Your guidance and expertise have helped these young gamers grow and excel, both in and out of the game.


To the students, congratulations on your incredible performances! Your skill, determination, and sportsmanship were a joy to watch. Whether you emerged victorious or faced tough competition, you all represented your schools with pride and demonstrated the true spirit of esports.


And finally, to the parents, thank you for your unwavering support of your children's passion for gaming. Your encouragement and understanding have helped them reach new heights and achieve their dreams.


Together, you have all created an unforgettable event that showcased the best of esports and the incredible talent within the ISA community. We are truly grateful for your participation and look forward to seeing you at future events!
