🟡 Primary Schools
Ages 7-11
Goal
Make a Maltese landmark come alive digitally
Build Size
A single landmark or small site

Luzzu boats coded to move in loops; St. John’s Co-Cathedral with auto lights; gardens that replant themselves

🔵 Lower Secondary Schools
Ages 12-14
Goal
Modernize a Maltese town or district with digital upgrades
Build Size
One town/district or themed area

Digital Valletta with coded streetlights; smart Marsaxlokk harbor with auto boats. Mdina with NPC guided tours

🔵 Upper Secondary Schools
Ages 14+
Goal
Create a connected vision of Digital Malta 2100
Build Size
A larger district or connected system

Examples
Valletta as a smart city with coded traffic control; rising sea defences that trigger automatically; digital festival square with coded lights, sounds, and gates

Prizing Structure
Each of the three age categories will be awarded a prize of €1500.
The prize is awarded to the school represented by the winning team, not to individual participants.
Purpose and Use of Funds
The prize must be used to enhance the digital literacy of the winning team's school. Eligible uses include the procurement of hardware, software, or training directly related to digital literacy improvement. The prize is non-transferable and must be used solely for the benefit of the winning school.
Claim and Disbursement
To claim the prize, the representing teacher must submit valid invoices by 1st November 2026. If the teacher is no longer affiliated with the school at the time of submission, the school must appoint an alternative representative to complete the claim process.
Verification and Compliance
The organising body reserves the right to verify the authenticity of submitted invoices and the relevance of purchases. Any misuse of funds or failure to comply with these terms may result in forfeiture of the prize. Decisions of the organising body shall be final.
Eligibility
Only schools officially registered in the competition are eligible to receive the prize.
Amendments and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions may be updated or amended at any time by the organizers. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with Maltese law.
