COMING IN 2025/26

In an effort to promote esports as an avenue for teamwork, strategic thinking, and digital literacy, we are proposing an inter-school Rocket League competition for UAE International Schools. This initiative will create an engaging and structured competitive environment while fostering camaraderie among students

This league will run throughout the Scholastic year, with a Fall Split (Sept-Feb) and a Spring Split (March-June), with a national final in May.

Middle School/KS3 students (Years 7/8/9 - Grades 6/7/8) will get the chance to test their skills against one another in the popular game title, Rocket League.

The league system will work as follow:

Two Splits, or Seasons, as mentioned previously, one in Term 1. Running all the way from September through to February, where the first in-person Split Final will take place. The second split starting in March and running through to June where the 2nd in-person Split final takes place.
Throughout the two splits, teams will participate in a weekly matching system and be set up against an opponent. These matches will help them prepare for the split final while creating a ranking that will determine the seeding of the split in-person finals.

The league will officially kick off in the 2025/26 Academic year bringing competition to your students every Wednesday. However, a test run will begin during Term 3 this year.

For the academic year 2025/26, Split 1 kicks off in September 2025, and comes to a conclusion in February 2026, with an in-person Split Final. (at a host school from the cluster)

Split 2 then kicks off in March 2026 right after Ramadan, and comes to a conclusion in June 2026 with another in-person final.

Teams will be constituted of 3 starters + 1 sub (optional). They will participate in a book & play system over the course of the split, leading up to the Split finals.

Every team starts with a standard rating of 1500 that adjusts upwards and downwards depending on a win or a loss, as well as the other team's rating. i.e. Playing more won't necessarily mean a higher end rating. Playing against better opponents means gaining more points.

Matching will be based primarily on a team's rating to make games as even as possible.

Teams will be ranked over the split period and will go to the Split finals to decide a Split Champion.

The pricing for the league is as follows:

For Schools Running the DAIGON Club*:
- Per Split: 1,500 AED
- Annual Commitment: 2,500 AED (with a discount for committing to the entire year)
For Schools Not Running the DAIGON Club:
- Per Split: 3,000 AED
- Annual Commitment: 5,000 AED (with a discount for committing to the entire year)

*The Daigon Club is a Primary/Early Secondary level Minecraft focused club, that helps students develop 21st Century skills through various maps. Helping students develop critical thinking, teamwork, creativity amongst other skills.*
